Weekly update #25 of building my personal branding

I build my personal brand in public by sharing my stats and thoughts every single week. This update contains the dates of January 2nd, 2023 - January 8th, 2023.

The previous update is available πŸ‘‰ here πŸ‘ˆ

Let's dive in πŸ‘‡

And here we have my thoughts: πŸ‘‡

Thought #1: Controversial posts might work really well

If you have a bold statement about something which is not mainstream thinking make a post about that.

Why?

Because there will be a lot of people who will disagree with you. And that's great, because:

  • they'll comment on your post
  • they'll reply to your comments
  • they'll generate views for you

It's a win-win deal. You'll stand for your statement while others might give traffic from people who weren't familiar with your content earlier.

Thought #2: The algorithm is unknown

In the past week, I was off for an entire Thursday and Friday, while my 3rd best-performing post was published on Thursday.

  • I wasn't able to reply to the comments
  • I didn't engage with others
  • I literally didn't open LinkedIn

The lesson?

If your content is good enough you don't need to warm the algorithm to have a good reach.

Thought #3: Call to comment

LinkedIn is all about the comments.

Leaving a good "call to comment" sentence at the end of the post might be a great way to encourage your audience to make a conversation.

  • 2 Threads (+100%) βœ…
  • 311 Impressions (-25%)πŸ”»
  • Highest Impressions: 67 (+18%) βœ…
  • Total Followers: 54 (0%)
  • 0 New Followers (-100%)πŸ”»

And here we have my thoughts: πŸ‘‡

Thought #1: No engagement. No growth.

It's impossible to grow on Twitter without engaging with bigger accounts. Β It's the one and only to gain more followers.

Thought #2: First audience

After those 2 weeks on Twitter with more time spent on the platform, I can say that I do have 2-3 people who support my content.

I know it's not a lot... but it's a pretty good number bearing in mind that I have 50 followers.

It works the same in the other way. I also support their content.

All of them are accounts with really good content and less than 1,000 followers.
